A wordy attempt that does not manage to simplify this topic so daunting for home-school parents of high-school kids. Instead of feeling relief from getting clear advice, I ended up almost throwing in the towel and sending my kids off to public school so that someone else could deal with the grading process! The unnecessary detail given for establishing a grading system for each subject indicated more work than a teacher would be expected to do in a classroom environment. Wading through it was totally discouraging. Don't waste your money if you're hoping this book will clarify the grading process without pulling your hair out! I have since discovered "Homeschoolers' College Admissions Handbook" by Cafi Cohen, which is clear, straightforward and set me back on the path to confidently dealing with transcripts and high-school home-schooling.
